Mother's Day Weekend

A Lucky Mom!!
I received these beautiful lillies from my loving crew of kids.

These lillies are similar to the ones in my wedding bouquet & that's why Linnea & Alissa picked them out. A wonderful surprise to wake up to Sat. A.M.

Merv & Lois Married 50 Years!

We met with this couple for many years. First in their home & then ours. A special couple to us & we enjoyed helping them celebrate.

Heritage Fair

This past Friday, Laura and her partner Mickaila participated in Regional Heritage Fair. This is when you pick a person that is Canadian and has played a part in Canada's heritage. Then, you write a report on them. It is almost like Science Fair, only instead it is a person. Three people were chosen from the fair to attend National Heritage Fair. They do not know who was chosen yet and they will find out if they were picked at the end of the month.

Just An Update

Sorry it's been so long! Things have been busy here! For a week and a half, we've had true Saskatchewan winter. Almost everyday we've been getting snow and the roads are not that great. Jackson has been enjoying it, since snow makes for good ski-dooing. About three weeks ago, Linnea and Alissa got a week long break and a week later Jackson and Laura. Well, that's all for now!

The Fishing Trip

Here are some pictures from the deep sea fishing trip at South Padre.
Click here to see a video clip of Alissa catching the "big one" (wink, wink).

John pondering whether or not he will catch a shark.

Alissa, Linnea, and Mark Horman

Brandon and Sarah.

Alissa and Jackie.
Dad almost caught a shark on the fishing trip but the shark flipped off the gaff (hook used to bring in big fish and sharks) and broke dad's line. So that was a bummer :(

Some More Pictures

A bird standing on the side of a rock pier that you can walk out on.
On the dolphin watching boat. Left to right: Jackson, Alissa, Sarah (a friend of Carissa's), Laura and Linnea
Laura driving the boat we went dolphin watching on. All of the kids got too! A sign warning of sand drifts on the rode. There was tons of sand dooms outside of the commercial part. Instead of snow there's sand!! A family picture!

Here are some more pictures of Texas!
